EF Senior Care Celebrates the First Anniversary of Acquiring Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelmsford, MA

Plymouth MA – (December 1, 2024) – One year ago this week, EF Senior Care (EFSeniorCare.com) had the privilege of purchasing Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (“Sunny Acres”) from Shirley Eaton and continuing the 75-year legacy of service she and her family have provided to the Chelmsford community.

Sunny Acres (SunnyAcres.org) is a 95-bed skilled nursing and assisted living memory care facility providing long-term skilled care, short-term rehabilitation services, and specialized accommodations for individuals with memory-related challenges, including Alzheimer’s.

Our focus over the past year has been on delivering outstanding care to our Residents and supporting our dedicated Staff who provide that care.  We’re proud that, in an industry where staffing shortages are rampant, Sunny Acres has been able to significantly reduce the use of contract staff which means our Residents are fortunate to interact with the same caregivers every week which contributes to love and loyalty both ways.

These outstanding outcomes come from the leadership of Sunny Acres’ Administrator, Frank McGuire, LNHA, and Director of Nursing, Kathy Legros, RN.  Frank and Kathy cultivate a collaborative environment where department heads, clinical staff and frontline workers feel valued and respected.  This was reflected in a recent staff survey which reported an 86% employee satisfaction level.
